ZALIN, Syria – As part of its series of meetings, a delegation from the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria visited the headquarters of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Zalin (Qamishli).
The visiting delegation included SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Shamiram Danho, as well as members of SUP Executive Body Afram Ishaq and Habib Ardish.
They were received by the KNC Head Mohammed Ismail, members of the KNC Leadehip Faisal Yousef, Fasla Yousef, Nimat Daoud, Suleiman Osso and the independent figure Abdul Bari Khalaf.
They discussed all the political developments in Syria, and each side expressed its vision about the Syrian scene.
The two parties agreed on a single vision regarding the future of Syria, which includes establishing a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized state that recognizes the rights and freedoms of all national and religious components in Syria.
They also emphasized the equality of all components, indicating that all Syrian parties and ethnic components representatives should contribute to Syrian managemnt during the transitional phase, as well as participate fundamentally in any future process concerning Syria, in terms of writing the constitution or forming a transitional government or preparing for general elections in Syria.
The SUP also stressed the importance of achieving consensus between all Kurdish political parties and forces.
