A delegation from the Syriac Union Party (SUP),in Hasakah attended a seminar organized by the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party (KPDP) in Syria. The seminar was led by the party’s Deputy Secretary-General, Ahmed Suleiman, and included several interventions and inquiries, which were addressed by the speaker.
On behalf of the Syriac Union Party, Mr. Fadi Dawi delivered an intervention in which he outlined the party’s perspective on the latest developments in Syria and its vision for the new political phase. He emphasized that the focus should be on what the peoples of Orth and East Syria want from the new Syria. To shape a unified stance, he proposed holding a national dialogue conference in North and East Syria, involving all political parties, human rights organizations, youth, and women’s groups. The goal would be to produce a unified working paper representing the demands of all the region’s inhabitants, which could serve as a negotiation document with the new administration, covering various political, economic, and social aspects.
For its part, the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria welcomed these proposals from the Syriac Union Party, affirming that it would consider them in its discussions with other parties.
