The council reaffirmed that the protection of Syrian lives, regardless of their affiliations, is an absolute priority, emphasizing that no justification can be accepted for escalating violence against civilians or local institutions.
The statement urged the Daramsuq (Damascus) authorities to prioritize reason and urgently assume their national responsibilities in response to these developments.
