Commenting on the Kurdish Dialogue Conference held in Qamishli on Saturday, Barsoum congratulated the Kurdish people and all Kurdish political forces for organizing the conference to unify political vision.
In his exclusive remarks to Syriac Press, Barsoum affirmed that the agreement serves the Kurdish cause and advances Syria’s political trajectory. He reiterated that unifying visions and positions among Syria’s various components is essential to achieving a comprehensive political solution.
Barsoum added that, as the Syriac-Assyrian people and as national parties representing their community, they have been pursuing this path for years and have established joint political agreements. He noted their ongoing efforts to reach consensus with all Syriac-Assyrian and Christian forces and parties to unify ranks at the national level.
He stressed that during this critical phase Syria is experiencing, achieving consensus among political forces is vital. This is a priority they are actively working on within the Syrian framework to address urgent and pivotal issues, including building a new Syria, drafting a new constitution, and ensuring the participation of all Syrians in this transitional phase.
