A delegation from institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council visited Bishop Romanos Al-Hannat in Damascus to offer condolences for the victims of the Mar Elias Church bombing.
The visiting delegation included Mrs. Nazira Gorya, member of the Presidential Committee of the Bethnahrin National Council; Mr. Ephrem Ishaq, Head of Public Relations for the Syriac Union Party; and Mr. Malik Hanna, Head of the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development.
During the meeting, the delegation extended condolences to the Bishop for the victims of the Doueilaa bombing. Their discussion also touched on the cooperation that should exist between the Church and the people to support the families of the martyrs and stand by them.
The conversation addressed the general situation and the latest developments on the Syrian scene. The delegation also provided an explanation and clarification of the working mechanism of the Syriac Cross Organization and the possibility of offering support to the families of the martyrs in cooperation with the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Damascus
