As part of strengthening relations, the Syriac Union Party in Qabre Hewore received an official delegation from the Yazidi Union.
The visiting delegation included Mr. Fawzi Joli from the Yazidi Union of Syria-Europe, Mr. Aslan Kazlahan from the Yazidi Union of Turkey, Ms. Layla Ibrahim from the Yazidi House in Qabre Hewore, Ms. Shermine Shakko, a member of the Yazidi Union Council, and Mr. Ziyad Rustam, an administrative member of the Yazidi Union.
They were received by the co-presidency of the party branch in Qabre Hewore, Faya Ardesh and Adeeb Shabo, as well as members of the party branch council: Shatha Ghareeba, Saliba Bahno, and Kabi Yaacoub. Also present were members of the party branch’s executive committee: Mona Shamoun and Samuel Antar.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the deep national, cultural, and revolutionary ties that unite the Syriac and Yazidi peoples.
They also exchanged views on the current situation and the challenges facing the peoples of the region, particularly regarding exclusionary plans, demographic changes, and attempts to undermine the social fabric.
