At the generous invitation of His Grace Bishop Makar Ashkarian, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Aleppo and its surroundings for the Armenian Orthodox, a delegation from the Syriac Union Party in Qamishli took part on Friday in the official opening of the church’s new hall and the accompanying exhibition featuring ecclesiastical, documentary, and heritage materials. The event was held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of Saint Hagop Church, at the Armenian Orthodox Archdiocese in Qamishli.
The party’s delegation included the co-chairs of the Syriac Union Party in Syria, Sanharib Barsom and Shamiram Danho, along with Vivian Baho Osi, the co-chair of the Executive Council in Jazira Canton.
During the visit, the Syriac Union Party conveyed its congratulations to the Armenian Orthodox Archdiocese on this occasion.
Representatives from various Christian denominations, as well as representatives of parties and organizations from all components, attended the inauguration.
