A women’s delegation visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party to convey congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Christmas. The delegation included Ms. Shaha Khalil, representing the Organizational Office of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV_DEM) in North and East Syria, and Ms. Afaf Haski, representing the Diplomatic Relations Office of the Women’s Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV_DEM) in North and East Syria.
They were received by Ms. Shamiram Danho, Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party in Syria; Ms. Faya Ardesh, Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party – Qabri Hiyori branch; and Ms. Warda Sarmas, a member of the party.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views and perspectives on the reality of Syrian women and their role in the current phase. They also discussed the current political situation and the challenges facing the region, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and joint coordination in a manner that serves societal issues in general and women’s issues in particular.
