A delegation from the Syriac Union Party visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Organization in Damascus. The visiting delegation included Mr. Sanharib Barsom, Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party, and Mr. Afram Ishaq, Head of Relations of the Syriac Union Party.
They were received by Mr. Gabriel Moshe, Head of the Assyrian Democratic Organization; Mr. Bashir Al-Saadi, Deputy Head of the Assyrian Democratic Organization; Mr. Sanharib Hanno, Member of the Relations Office; and Mr. Raymond Yohana, Member of the General Secretariat of the Assyrian Democratic Organization.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the latest political developments in the country and ways to strengthen joint work among the parties of our people. They emphasized the importance of unifying visions and intensifying coordination among Syriac-Assyrian political forces in a manner that serves the supreme national interest of our people.
The two parties also stressed the necessity of enhancing bilateral relations and coordinating efforts to ensure the rights of the Syriac-Assyrian people in the new Syria, and to work toward enshrining these rights constitutionally within the framework of a democratic, pluralistic state that guarantees equality and genuine partnership among all components of the nation.
