As part of a series of visits conducted by the Levantine National Council in the Jazira region, a delegation visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party in Qamishli. The delegation was received by Ms. Nazira Kourieh, member of the Presidential Committee of the Beth Nahrain National Council; Ms. Shamirram Denho and Mr. Senharib Barsom, Co-Chairs of the Syriac Union Party in Syria; and Mr. Gabriel Shamoun, member of the Executive Committee of the Syriac Union Party.
The delegation was headed by Dr. Wadih Al-Khoury, President of the Levantine National Council. During the meeting, discussions focused on the overall situation and current developments in the region, the condition of our people amid ongoing events, and their role in the emerging phase.
In a related context, the delegation also visited His Eminence Bishop Mor Maurice Amsih, Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Jazira and the Euphrates, along with a number of priests and members of the local parish council in Qamishli. During the meeting, the delegation presented the Council’s vision, objectives, role, and future aspirations.
